The North Perimeter Optimist Club is preparing to launch its third annual “Optimist Kids’ Day In The Park” on Saturday, October 21. Click on the PDF below for complete details. This is a multi-club event, and we are asking our brother and sister Clubs to help us make this a big success.
We need volunteers to help with the setup and takedown of the event, registration, running the games, pumpkin decorating, face painting, and a variety of other tasks.
We are asking Clubs in the GATEway District to send volunteers from their Clubs to assist us? We are going to need around 40 to 45 volunteers to help us run this event.
This is a multi-club event so it would count as a Club project. Also, if a Club helps us we in turn will let them utilize our games for any of their events.
In addition, Optimist International President Tracy Huxley will be attending this event. She has chosen it as a Club project she would like to participate in. So this will be a great opportunity for members to meet her, work with her, and get to know her in a project environment.
