Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Club Grant Training! If you missed the live session, don’t worry, you can watch the video below. Here’s a quick recap.
We discussed how your Club can secure funding to expand your impact, covering the nuts and bolts of the application process and how to make your project stand out.
Key Highlights from the Session:
Types of Grants:
- Club Grants: Designed specifically to jump start new projects in your community.
- Childhood Health & Wellness Grants: Support both new and ongoing projects focused on healthy lifestyles, chronic diseases, disabilities, and mental health.
Application Success Tips:
- Tell a Story: Don’t just list expenses. Your application should paint a clear picture of the youth you are helping and the specific benefits your project will provide.
- Double Check the Details: Ensure your Club dues are current and that you have a designated Club Foundation Representative (CFR).
- Matching Funds: Remember that OIF grants typically require matching funds from your Club.
Submission Reminders: Please mail completed applications directly to the Lindell Blvd office (do not use the P.O. Box) and aim to submit early to avoid delays.
Additional Resources: We also touched on the Club Pass-Through Program, a valuable tool that allows your Club to collect tax-deductible donations from local businesses and foundations.
There is much more detail in the full session, including a breakdown of the budget requirements and examples of successful projects, so be sure to click below to watch.
