McIntosh County Optimist Club was so excited to invite their special guest speaker especially because of their business name being so close to their club name: OPTIM AND OPTIMIST!!! Optim HealthCare is a medical organization mainly in “Southeast Georgia with a facility here in Darien, Ga. Dr. Doug Andrews, Director of Sports Medicine shared valuable information about the benefits of Optim and the care that is given to everyone in need. He also shared about the partnership with McIntosh Count y Schools where an Athletic Trainer is assigned to provide for all of the needs of the athletes.

Respect for Law presentation to Deputy Rodney Pirkle. The Forsyth County sheriff’s department were very pleased that the Sawnee Cumming Optimist Club honored one of their own. Major Rick Doyle and Sheriff Duan K. Piper presided over the ceremony. Additional acknowledgements were made to other officers by the sheriff’s department, but Rodney was certainly surprised of the Sawnee-Cumming Optimist award for Respect for Law. The press was available as well as family members to honor all the recipients. This picture made the front page of the Forsyth County News Paper.
