For a club to obtain Honor Club, it is required for the club to appoint a Club Foundation Representative (CFR) and to make a minimum unrestricted donation of $100 to the Optimist International Foundation. As of today, the GATEway district has only 63 Club Foundation Representatives out of 73 clubs. I've attached the form for the Club President to complete to appoint a CFR for their club.This form needs to be emailed to info@oifoundation.org and to me at kforster428@gmail.com. Let's get these other 10 clubs to have CFRs today!
Please encourage your club members to do Dime A Day for $36.50. You can take the small 8 oz bottles of water to your meetings and give them to members. After the members drink the water, challenge them to see if they can get 365 dimes in the bottle for their Dime A Day. I've attached a photo of the bottle with 365 dimes, or you can fill your own bottle with 365 dimes!Be sure and visit the Optimist International Foundation website https://oifoundation.org . Donations can be made directly online. In the comments section, have the member put their name, club name, member number (if they know) and what type of donation. Forms can also be downloaded and printed from the website. First of all, I would like to thank all the members and clubs who made our Presidents' March at the 2nd Quarter Conference in Athens a success! We raised about $5,000 for the Optimist International Foundation If you haven't done so, please go online, https://oifoundation.org/us-canada-donate.html, and do your Dime A Day Donation. It would be great for the GATEway District to have the most members who have done the Dime A Day. CFR CONTEST: Clubs will be divided the same as the A&A Report. The CFR that has the most club members doing Dime-A-Day by the April Conference, will be the winner. Get your members to do Dime-A-Day today! Remember, if you did Dime A Day last year, you can vote for the OIF Board Member. Our own Deanna Morrow is running! If your Club donated $365 last year, your CFR gets to vote. https://www.oifoundation.org The voting deadline is February 28, 2023 If you didn't do Dime A Day last year, do it now so you will get to vote for the OIF Board Member next year!
